Join the ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign abroad

icpes_logoThe ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign is the theme of World Heart Rhythm Week (WHRW) - the annual global event organised by Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) and held in partnership with ICPES (International Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology). The week-long event brings international organisations, groups and individuals together to raise awareness and education of heart rhythm disorders.

Launched during WHRW 2009, the ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign immediately made a strong impact as A-A promoted public and medical awareness of the pulse as a means of identifying potential cardiac arrhythmias on a global scale. Over 250 international organisations participated to promote the ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign; partners, affiliates and supporters across the globe translated and distributed the Pulse Check Card in national campaigns throughout Europe, the USA and from China to Iran, to teach people this simple health check.

WHRW 7th – 13th June 2010 promises to be an even more exciting event this year as it will coincide with the FIFA World Cup which kicks off on the 11th June. A-A is encouraging its partners, affiliates, and supporters to join them in seeking endorsements from national football celebrities for the ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign during WHRW.

A-A welcomes anyone with an interest in improving the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for those affected by cardiac arrhythmias to join WHRW. Participants may choose to promote the ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign or choose an event that is relevant to their mission and objectives.

You may be asking yourself how you can be involved. Well, here is how!
