Have you ever fainted?

Light-headedness, dizziness, nausea...these will be familiar symptoms to those of you who have fainted. Others of you may have fainted with no warning. If someone loses consciousness for a few seconds or minutes they are said to have had a blackout.

blackout_checklistHave you or your child suffered from an unexplained loss of consciousness (blackout)? If the answer is yes, then download the STARS Blackouts Checklist. This has been designed to help doctors and the sufferer reach the correct diagnosis. Everyone who has had an unexplained blackout should be given a 12-lead ECG to help rule out any underlying heart condition.
